Sustainability is often described as a journey. At LM Global Design, that journey is already underway. While long-term goals are being shaped through structured programmes such as the Climate Action Voucher and GreenStart, a number of concrete initiatives are already in place across our materials, production, processes, and community engagement.

Materials and Packaging

  • FSC-certified cartons: Our packaging uses responsibly sourced materials, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
  • Water-based inks: Printing is carried out with water-based colours, avoiding chemical-based inks and improving recyclability.
  • Packaging optimisation: By reducing packaging dimensions, we are able to minimise the environmental impact of transportation.
  • Pure polypropylene: We are progressively transitioning from blended materials to pure polypropylene. This change reduces production complexity and improves recyclability.

Responsible Production

  • Low-energy machinery: 95% of our plastic components are manufactured with modern, energy-efficient equipment.
  • Solar-powered facilities: Our main production partner operates using renewable energy generated from solar panels.
  • ISO 14001 certification: Our environmental management system is certified to the ISO 14001:2015 standard, providing assurance that our processes meet rigorous environmental benchmarks.

Smarter Processes

  • Digitalisation: We are reducing paper use by introducing digital workflows and documentation.
  • Lean logistics: Stronger cartons and smarter packaging design mean fewer master cartons are needed, reducing waste and shipping volume.

Social Responsibility

Sustainability for us also means contributing positively to society. For more than seven years, LM Global Design has supported the GERChildren project in Medellín, Colombia. The project provides children in difficult conditions with access to education, a safe environment, and recreational opportunities at the “Albero” center.

A Foundation for the Future

These initiatives represent our starting point. Together, they form a foundation for the structured sustainability strategy that LM Global Design is now developing. As new actions are introduced and milestones achieved, we will continue to build on this foundation with transparency and accountability.
